When Washington DC’s free overnight arts festival historically activating in the Shaw community expanded it finally came to Ward 8, 8 Arts & Culture Co Founder Tendani was task with directing it's production and he/we delivered. We ran the event from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM in Congress Heights with not one security guard on duty and it made it the safest hood to be in, proving that community can come together and police themselves with no problem. Give us the resources and we will thrive.

The festival presented visual and performing arts, including painting, photography, sculpture, crafts, fashion, music, literary arts, dance, theater, film, and poetry, to indoor and outdoor public and private spaces, including local businesses and restaurants.
